We're feeling particularly proud of this one. Our Viking Village has been finished. We may try something a little unusual with it in the new year. :)
A bit off ru-using and recycling going on in Art this week in 4B. Last year the class made a model of the Titanic and the infamous iceberg it smashed into. 4B have taken the model of the iceberg and are transforming it in to a Viking Village using lost of old newspaper and Plaster of Paris. Finished images in a few days but it's already looking amazing. We also built Longboats and Viking houses out of paper and once these have been added we'll be sharing the final (and very big) project.
Viking Village from Cormac Cahill on Vimeo. As Lilienne took over the Art class this week she was given time to try out a drawing app on the iPad. She had blown us away with what she created so we asked her to sign it. She was taking a long time signing it and realised she was adding a few more details. The end result is amazing. Well done Lilienne. We all definitely learnt loads from you this week.
This week we have been learning all about Japan. Luckily we had an expert in the class who thought us all how to make Manga Portraits.
Manga 4B from Cormac Cahill on Vimeo. A very busy day in 4B as the children themselves took over some of the teaching. Charlie K, Nicole and Lily showed us how to make a variety of different crafts for the upcoming Winter Fair. And Cormac got to show the class how to make Ojos do Dios.
